Custody and divorce cases fall exclusively within the jurisdiction of the Circuit Court. We regularly appear in Circuit Courts in Baltimore, Ellicott City, Annapolis, Rockville, Towson and Upper Marlboro.
In custody cases a critical decision is whether a lawyer should be appointed on the children's behalf. Formerly called a Guardian ad Litem, or GAL, the Maryland Court of Appeals has set specific guidelines for appointment of children's attorneys. The guidelines now require a determination as to whether a best interests attorney, a child advocate, or a privilege attorney be appointed. We can help you with this.
If you are considering retaining a Maryland divorce lawyer you need the assistance of a lawyer who can protect your rights and guide you through the sometimes complicated and stressful legal proceedings that Maryland divorce can involve.
